Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 yellow onion (grated)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, grate the onion and mix with ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, cream, and egg until just combined. Shape into four patties.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Remove patties and add minced garlic and diced onion to the same skillet; cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in salt, pepper, and flour; then pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add heavy cream and dill; bring to a boil then simmer until thickened.
  6. Return patties to the skillet, simmering for an additional 5-6 minutes until heated through.
