  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 200g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 150g fresh spinach
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 100g cheese (mozzarella or cheddar), grated
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened; then stir in the spinach until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat; let cool slightly before mixing in grated cheese and cream cheese.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 24 squares.
  6. Place about a teaspoon of filling in each square; fold and seal tightly.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg for shine.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
