  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped toasted pecans
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for glaze)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes until fragrant.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in cooled toasted pecans gently.
  6. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheet with space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set. Cool slightly before transferring to wire rack.
  8. For the glaze: Melt together unsalted butter and brown sugar; stir in milk and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
