  • 8 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup semolina flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup honey, warmed
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer one sheet of phyllo dough in the greased dish and brush it with melted butter; repeat with six more sheets.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth; pour over the phyllo base.
  4. Add the final sheet of phyllo on top, brushing with butter and lightly scoring the surface.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and set.
