  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, egg, melted butter, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish evenly.
  4. In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, eggs, additional pumpkin puree, melted butter, and spices until creamy.
