Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground paprika
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Pita bread
Fresh vegetables (like cucumbers and tomatoes)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix together the spices: cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
Add olive oil, yogurt, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and minced garlic into the spice blend. Stir until well combined.
Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is coated well. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
Cook the marinated chicken by grilling over medium heat or baking in an oven preheated to 400°F (200°C) until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Serve garnished with chopped parsley alongside warm pita bread and fresh vegetables.
